Entry 02 - Order of the Watcher
This form has been filled in accordance with the Informative Template entry, and has been peer-reviewed by a scribe agent and approved by a superior officer.Subject: Warden's Nuisance Entry: 02 Instance: Collective Threat Level: Group Status: Under Vigilance Summary: Initially, the Order of the Watcher was recognized as a desperate religious movement, with misguided philosophies and practices trying to make sense of the calamities brought by the Outbreak; it was founded by a secretive figure solely known as "The Disciple", who spread not only their dogmas throughout southern Europe, but also useful instructions on self-defense against anomalous entities. The GEC expressed concern to the Ward as the cult had not only shown to be very knowledgeable about the anomalies, but also referred to a mysterious entity several times throughout their religious teachings and volunteering work during government operations. With "The One Who Watches" being mentioned, Ward personnel were tasked with investigating the cult and their makeshift temples in case their leader or practices were making usage of any potential anomalous entity or artifact. Infiltration proved to be impossible, and to an extent unnecessary, as the cult had a keen awareness of every agent sent to investigate and cooperated completely in every encounter, answering questions diligently and proposing a meeting with their leader. Given the strange nature of these interactions, agents were recovered and then examined for abnormalities directly by the Warden, who instructed rest and a dismissal of the request. Even though the cult is not considered a substantial threat, and a containment warrant was deemed unnecessary, they have at times caused disturbances to surrounding settlements and government militaries, often in attempts to prevent further disaster when encountering potentially dangerous anomalies, or negligence by the GEC. On some occasions, the cult has proven to be helpful during containment procedures by providing information and guiding the Ward's personnel toward the reported locations, often leading evacuation efforts if necessary and even defending civilians from anomalies in the absence of the GEC. They are known for aiding in the containment of Entry-35, the Cumulus Glass. Containment Procedures: Not applicable.
Interview Addendum
The interview with "The Disciple" was reported by the Warden as being very unusual, as she mimicked ██████ speaking patterns and short sentences perfectly, despite never meeting one. The following transcript has been organized and sections deemed unrelated to the entry have been removed. Warden: "Belief or expectation? Elaborate on your deity." Disciple: "Yes, your presence. You guide us against the unknown." Warden: "Do you claim certainty?" Disciple: My visions show paths, I see intentions. Warden: Visions. Accurate? Disciple: Often unclear. Yet, truthful, no regrets. Warden: Subjective, or complete? How do you discern? Disciple: Feelings guide me. They (Anomalies) speak in whispers. Warden: Whispers are a weapon. Is your role to protect? Disciple: Yes, to shield. To prevent calamities. Warden: Your methods. Disciple: Swift. We know the threats. Warden: Peers? Disciple: Watchers? Warden: Disturbances arise. Disciple: We intervene. Ignorance breeds. Warden: Safety requires precision. Your teachings, unknown? (Anomalous in nature?) Disciple: Myself, yourself. Warden: Stay vigilant. Comply. Disciple: Your guidance is invaluable.
